 "text": "RS 14:90.5\n\n\u00a790.5. Unlawful playing of gaming devices by persons under the age of twenty-one; \nunderage persons, penalty\n\nA. It is unlawful for any person under twenty-one years of age to play casino games,\ngaming devices, or slot machines or to place a wager on a sports event.\n\nB. No person under the age of twenty-one, except an emergency responder acting in\nhis official capacity, shall enter, or be permitted to enter, the designated gaming area of a\nriverboat, the designated gaming area of the official gaming establishment, or the designated\ngaming area of a pari-mutuel wagering facility which offers live horse racing licensed for\noperation and regulated under the applicable provisions of Chapters 4, 5, and 7 of Title 27\nof the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950.\n\nC.(1) For purposes of this Section, \"casino games, gaming devices, or slot machines\"\nmeans a game or device, as defined in R.S. 27:44, 205, or 353 operated on a riverboat, at the\nofficial gaming establishment, or at a pari-mutuel wagering facility which offers live horse\nracing which is licensed for operation and regulated under the provisions of Chapters 4, 5,\nand 7 of Title 27 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950.\n\n(2) For purposes of this Section, \"place a wager on a sports event\" shall apply to the\nfollowing:\n\n(a) Wagers attempted to be or actually placed in person, via a self-service sports\nwagering mechanism, or through a website or mobile application as those terms are defined\nin R.S. 27:602 and the operation of which is regulated under the provisions of Chapter 10\nof Title 27 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950.\n\n(b) Wagers attempted to be or actually placed via a self-service sports wagering\nmechanism, or via a mobile application as defined in R.S. 47:9002 and operations are\nregulated under the provisions of Chapter 10 of Subtitle XI of Title 47 of the Louisiana\nRevised Statutes of 1950.\n\nD.
