 "text": "RS 14:90.6\n\n\u00a790.6. Gambling or wagering at cockfights\n\nA. Gambling or wagering at a cockfight is the aiding or abetting or participation in any game, contest, lottery, or contrivance, in any location or place where a cockfight is being conducted and whereby a person risks the loss of anything of value in order to realize a profit.\n\nB. Whoever commits the crime of gambling or wagering at a cockfight shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars, or imprisoned for not more than six months, or both. Upon a second and subsequent violation of this Section, the penalty shall be a fine of one thousand dollars, or imprisonment for not more than one year, or both.\n\nC.
